Dan’s practice focuses primarily on oil, gas and mineral law, advising exploration and production companies on a variety of matters including, oil and gas title examinations, acquisition and divestiture of assets, interpreting mineral and royalty conveyances, oil and gas leases, leasehold assignments, joint operating agreements, farmout agreements, area of mutual interest agreements, purchase and sale agreements and other related oil and gas agreements.

Teresa’s practice focus is on energy and real estate law with an emphasis on oil and gas title opinions and litigation. Her work has focused on Original Drilling Title Opinions, Division Order Opinions, and due diligence projects. She has represented oil and gas clients in numerous disputes regarding underpaid royalties, breach of contract, trespass to try title and as creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Ms. Smith has rendered title opinions covering Ohio and many areas of Texas, including the Barnett Shale, Permian Basin and Eagle Ford regions.
